It is a minicontroller with labeled buttons, duplicated from figure 1-4 on page 9. {26} 2nd paragraph; It says that alarm system components are "normally open" so that cutting a wire will trigger the alarm. But cutting a wire opens the circuit. I'd think that the author might have meant that they are normally closed?
