UNCONFIRMED errors and comments from readers: (98) Step 3 of the "recipe"; Text says "Apply some Gaussian Blur to the Luminosity layer. Set an amount of 200- 250% with a radius of 1 and threshold of 0." What the author is describing, and meant to say, is to apply Unsharp Mask. The accompanying graphic of the layers palette shows that he meant Unsharp Mask. So: "Apply some Gaussian Blur to the Luminosity layer." Should read: "Apply the Unsharp Mask to the Luminosity layer."
