UNCONFIRMED errors and comments from readers: (xiii) 1st sentence; In the first sentence of the preface of your book, the phrase "looking and seeing pictures" does not make sense. Did you, perhaps, mean to say "looking for and seeing pictures"? (8) Second Picture; The reference made to figure 1-11, however the actual second picture is in press as figure 1-21. (23) 3rd paragraph header on the right hand side of the page; I believe the third header should be "Prefer Adobe Camera Raw for Supported Raw Files" {23} Last sentence under heading, "Prefer Adobe Camera Raw of JPEG Files"; For Windows XP, the phrase "Photoshop Open dialogue box" should read "Photoshop Open As dialogue box" (24) first line of last paragraph on left side of page; "sPhotoshop" -- I assume the s is silent {24} Bottom right; Page 24 Bottom Right Side of page under the Header "Performance" . The sentence reads currently "The Preferences area ..." I suggest that it read "The Performance area..." {24} generally in this section; The book is referring to part of the preferences pages that exist tend to go from CS2 pages to CS3 pages. Specifically the "Enable Large Document Format (.psb) is in CS2 but not CS3. This caused a bit of confusion until I brought up the preferences on another computer that is only running CS2 and then I realized the proble. (57) End of third paragraph Applying Keywords; Repetition of explanation (which I am sure was not intended). (99) figures 4-15 to 4-18; The titles of the figures 4-15 to 4-18 are wrong. 4-15 should be 'Sharpen Details'. 4-16 should be 'Working in Advanced Mode'. 4-17 should be 'Save Settings feature'. 4-18 should be 'Remove JPEG artifacts' and is the wrong picture. (100) Number 4; Instead of 'click the A channel' should be 'click the Lightness channel' as shown in figure 4-22. Also, all refereces to 'A' and 'B' channels should, for consistency with Photoshop, refer to 'a' and 'b' channels. (105) Number 6; .... menu to select Alpha 4 should say menu to select Blue copy see figure 4-30. (107) Numbers 3 and 5; There is no figure to go with number 3. Figure 4-35 should go with number 5 (instead of 4-36 which does not relate to this section). (113) Third Party Optical Correction - 2nd column - line 5; 'once processed via Adobe Camera Raw and once with DxO Optics Pro ...' Should be 'one processed via Adobe Camera Raw and one with DxO Optics Pro ...' (137) Figure 5-20; 'The Levels clipping display shows white' - should be '.... shows black'. {143} Second column - last 3 lines; On a PC (don't know about Mac) pressing Tab in the Curves dialog does NOT switch between Input and Output fields. It just cycles through all the field on the dialog i.e. normal Windows behaviour. {257} Vibrance vs. Saturation; The statement that using the saturation controls in the Hue/Saturation (in Photoshop) dialog box affects all colors is, I don't believe, correct. This only applies to the Saturation controls in Lightroom and ACR. (267) 1st para; The sentence 'Selective Color can be useful for subtle tweaks to images where there are distinct differences between colors, but where you need to increase or decrease a specific color that may be shared by more than one color.' doesn't make any sense. Possibly should be '.. but NOT where you need to increase ...'? [324] Diffuse Glow; This example does not work as illustrated unless the foreground is set to black and background to white. (370) Number 2; '(circled in Figure 10-19)' It isn't. (372) ch10_model-village.jpg; This file - ch10_model-village.jpg - is not included in the downloads for the book. (375) ch10_sheep.jpg; SHOULD BE - 2. Choose Filter>Blur>Shape Blur NOT Choose Filter>Blur>Smart Blur (391) Focusing on History; The relevant picture is called ch10_wedding.jpg NOT ch10_Bride.jpg
