Here's the key to the markup:

        [page-number]: serious technical mistake
        {page-number}: minor technical mistake
        <page-number>: important language/formatting problem
        (page-number): language change or minor formatting problem

These are the changes made in the 12/99 reprint:


{ix} Table of Contents entry for Chapter 9 should say "Tru64 Unix," not
"True-64 UNIX".


(xix-xxiii) The following information was added to the preface. This
addition of text through off the page breaks for the following four pages.

(xxii) To my wife's family, the tagalog phrase at the end now reads:

        "Pahingi ng sinagong?"

Should read:

        "Pahingi ng sinagang?"


(41) Table 2-4: should be "Mon - Sun", not "Sun - Sat" (i.e. Mon, Tue,
Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun).

Should read:

{467} The third line in the code section on the bottom now reads:

Should read:

        "SQL> insert into tapes values ('DLT');"


{674} The index entry for "Compaq True-64 Unix" should say "Compaq Tru64
