CONFIRMED errors:


(ix-xiii, 1-12) In the Preface and Chapter 1, the header folios are reversed 
(i.e., the page numbers in the headers are on the inside margins, and they 
should be on the outside margins).


(19) The fifth sentence in the last paragraph on the page reads: 

	"Subtract Free Page File from Current Swap File, and now you know the 
 	amount of virtual memory you need."

Should read:

	"The amount of virtual memory you need is Current Swap File minus 
	Free Page File."


{61} In Figure 3-3 the order of the partitions should be changed so that the 
figure is partitioned as follows:

Windows system | Data | temp files | Applications | swap file 


(63) The following sentence should be added as the last sentence in the first 
paragraph on the page:

	"Data can go on either drive, as the OS and applications are more 
	speed-intensive than data."

<163> In the first paragraph under "Speed Up DNS Lookups," the link for 
FastNet99 should be changed from "members.xoom.com/gcriaco/" to

<179> The second line in the first paragraph on the page now reads: 

	"The TCP/IP subnet 168.192.0.x..."

Should read:

(193) The following sentence should be added at the end of the "Why Not 
Install Over My Existing Installation?" sidebar:

	"Note that it isn't possible to perform a clean installation with the 
	$20 98SE upgrade for Windows 98; you have to install Windows 98, then 
	run the upgrade off the CD."


(223) The following sentence should be added at the end of the first paragraph:

	"On a semi-related note, many older Pentium chipsets (notably the 
	Intel 430VX and 430TX) can’t cache more than 64 MB of RAM. If you 
	add memory above 64MB, performance will suffer."
