The logic is reversed. The Input port returns true when the switch is open, not pressed. Page 19 explains this in more detail, but is incorrect. I saw this on a Netduino Plus revision B. Build 4.1.2821.0

The description in the book is correct for firmware release 4.1.1 and later. Unfortunately, the stable version is still 4.1.0 (update 6). Currently (January 2012) a beta release of 4.1.1 is available at
