the equivalent URI on the couch-master load balancer
shoud read:
the equivalent URI on the couch-slave load balancer

Note from the Author or Editor:
This paragraph near the bottom of page 31:

"The subsequent rewrite rule then proxies all requests to URIs starting with /api to the equivalent URI on the couch-master load balancer (again, only if the previous rewrite condition has been met):"

Should be:

"The subsequent rewrite rule then proxies all requests to URIs starting with /api to the equivalent URI on the couch-slave load balancer (again, only if the previous rewrite condition has been met):"

The phrase "couch-master" should instead be "couch-slave". Note that there is an almost identical paragraph that comes earlier. This earlier paragraph correctly refers to "http://couch-master.example.com:5984" should and should *not* be changed.

End of paragraph

"All machines were running Ubuntu 10.10 LTS (Maverick Meerkat), 64-bit."

Ubuntu 10.10 is not an LTS (Long Term Support) version of Ubuntu. The last LTS is Ubuntu 10.04.

Note from the Author or Editor:
In the second to last sentence of the last paragraph on the last page (page 58), "Ubuntu 10.10 LTS (Maverick Meerkat)" should be "Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat)". The "LTS" should be removed since Ubuntu 10.10 is not an LTS (Long Term Support) version of Ubuntu.
