Errata

At Location 614 of 22974 the note box at the top says:

Should read:

field called "Modified" changes when you

If you try this on the sample People file provided on the Missing CD page, then you?ll notice that a field called ?Modified" changes when you click out of the record. You?ll learn what that field is used for

Missing space after full stop (period).

The space is NOT missing in the ePub version.

The space is missing between the second to last and the last sentence in the warning on page 112. Please add the space in.

Last line above the second note should be corrected to "you must reimport the file for it to work": i,e, remove the words "the file" after "must".

The paragraph following Step 2 should read "...but you must reimport the file for it to work."

This is not an error in the printing of the book but a discrepancy between the name of a table and a field in the Missing CD fmp12 files from Chapter 5 That is the names between the book and the file are different.

The table in the file, "Ch05_JobsInvoices START.fmp12" says that the table is is named, "Timecards" with a field named, "Timecards ID". In the book's text and illustration the table and field are named, "Timeslips" and "Timeslip ID" respectively.

The discrepancy also occurs in the "Ch05_JobsInvoices FINISHED.fmp12" file.

Easy enough to fix but thought you might like to know to avoid any confusion.

Refers to the "Number Formatting Layout" - there is no layout named this - closest looking one is: "Data Formatting Layout"

The first sentence of the last ¶ on page 311 should be:

"In this chapter's example file, People.fmp12, go to the Data Formatting layout..."

"Navigate to the Slide Control layout" in People.fmp12 - there is no layout by this name nor any that look like the example to work with!

Step 1 in the tutorial that starts at the bottom of page 345 should read:

1. In the People.fmp12 example file, create a new layout (Ctrl+N or Command+N) and name it Slide Control.

(this is instructions for working with the missing Slide Control layout)

"drag the Composer Photo field..." there is no Composer Photo field in the database.

Looking at the "Photos" layout the photo field is called "container" but nothing by the instructed name.

The current callout says, "Contest pop-up" but I believe the intent is "Context pop-up" where the word "contest" is incorrect.
