Text states ? The Windows Server 2008 domain functional level adds support for Active Directory Recycle Bin??.
Most likely a typo/omission and should be Windows 2008 R2 for AD Recycle Bin support. However, it is a Forest Functional Level and not a Domain Functional Level so wording could be clarified.
Source: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/understanding-active-directory-functional-levels%28v=ws.10%29.aspx
Note from the Author or Editor: Should read: "The Windows Server 2008 R2 forest functional level adds support for Active Directory Recycle Bin??.
Also, in Table 25-1 and Table 25-2 the entry for Windows Server 2008 should read:
Windows Server 2012
Windows Server 2008 R2
Windows Server 2008

top paragraph |
"If you get into trouble...you can reset Group Policy to its default configuration by using the dcgpofix command-line utility..."
The dcgpofix tool (unless changed for WS2012) is made to "reset" either the default domain policy or the default domain controllers policy. Your statement is correct if we assume someone is putting settings for mmcs inside one of the two domain poliices. It is best practice to not alter these policies and to create separate GPOs. If one is altered, its usually the domain policy for password and lockout policy modifications. The unaware admin who runs that command to clear up mmc settings could change a lot more than he/she bargained for. :)
Note from the Author or Editor: If you get into trouble, such as could happen if you prohibit all snap-ins but neglect to enable snap-ins needed for management, you'll need edit or delete the GPO. You can reset a default policy to its default configuration by using the Dcgpofix command-line utility...

"enable-servermanagerstandarduserremoting <computer>\<user> ...add the -Confirm parameter to eliminate the prompt to confirm..."
Regardless of whether -confirm:$false or -confirm:$y is used to eliminate the prompt, prompt still appears. Removing -confirm and replacing it with -force completed the operation.
Note from the Author or Editor: Yes, should be: Add the -Force parameter...

2nd paragraph |
running ws2012 standard:
bcdedit /export c:\backup\bcd
results in:
store export operation failed
Insufficient system resources to complete operation
Howeevr, citing file and extension:
bcdedit /export c:\backup\bcd\bcd.tmp (or any file extension)
results in successful execution and import back
I've read that file and file extension shouldnt be necessary. Is it?
Note from the Author or Editor: The examples should show the full path, including the file extension:
bcdedit /export c:\backup\bcd.dat
and
bcdedit /import c:\backup\bcd.dat
The c:\backup folder must exist or you'll get an error stating the system cannot find the path specified.

"DNS information can be stored in traditional zone files, Active Directory-integrated zones, or application partitions, which are new to Windows Server 2012."
Custom application partitions were introduced in Windows Server 2003.
Note from the Author or Editor: Yes, of course. Should state simply: DNS information can be stored in traditional zone files, Active Directory-integrated zones, or application partitions.

Note from the Author or Editor: Text should state:
