Quote:
If the initial connection attempt to the well-known URLs fails, the client makes
an unencrypted HTTP GET request against https://autodiscover.contoso.com
/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml,

Mistake:
URL is unencrypted at this point so it should be:
http://autodiscover.contoso.com
/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml

Note from the Author or Editor:
Fix the URL by removing the extraneous "s".

Figure 1-7, which shows the output from the Outlook 2013 Test E-Mail AutoConfiguration dialog box. To access this dialog box yourself, hold down the Ctrl key and right-click the Outlook icon in the system tray;

Mistake:
It's not required to do a right-click on the Outlook icon. A left-click also works

Sequence 3:
For example, if the user enters carrie@contoso.com as her email address, her client first uses https://contoso.com
/autodiscover/autodiscover.svc

Mistake:
wrong file extension, It should be https://contoso.com
/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml

Note from the Author or Editor:
Change "right-click" to "click"; change file extension.

The mailbox Transport Delivery Service

Quote - the service then uses SMTP to deliver the message to the Transport Service if the target server is remote or to the Mailbox Transport submission service if the current server holds the active copy.
unquote

Should the message be delivered to the Mailbox Transport Delivery Service if the current server holds the active copy as the Mailbox Transport submission service only has on jog "it retrieves message from mailboxes by using RPC"
Thanks

Martin

Note from the Author or Editor:
"?or to the Mailbox Transport Submission service if the current server?" should be changed to refer to the Transport service instead.
