A drop-down list box is not the same as a combo box. A list box allows only selection of the listed items; a combo box also allows you to type in text. Although this description of dialog box controls is useful, it omits mention of radio buttons, which appear in many dialogs. I was also surprised by the reference to "filling out" dialog boxes, as I would never use that term to describe the way most dialog boxes are used; usually you are "making selections" or "choosing settings" or just "using" the box.

Text in this paragraph is duplicated. Moreover, it is incorrect. Figure 1-25 shows the results of a search of Offline Help. The first hit is "Find and replace special South Asian characters." This is a frequent problem with searches both online and offline, but in this case it is *not* the result of using online Help as implied.
