Corrections to answer option C
On page 15-8, answer option C reads:



"C. Use the Save tab of the Options dialog box in both programs to set the Documents location to D drive."



It should read:



"C. Use the File locations tab of the Options dialog box in Word and the General tab of the Options dialog box in Excel to set the Documents location to D drive."

Answer C is Incorrect
On page 15-15, question 1, answer C reads:



"C. Correct: Locking the toolbars in Internet Explorer also locks the status bar, which will prevent it from being turned off in the future."



It should read:



"C. Incorrect: Locking the toolbars in Internet Explorer also locks the status bar, but will not prevent it from being turned off in the future."

The answer to question 2 identifies which options are job functions rather than which are not job functions
On page 1-26, the answer to question 2 reads:



"A, B, and D correctly identify the duties of a tier 1 DST. C is incorrect because desktop support technicians troubleshoot only problems that directly affect end users. They are not responsible for the company’s network. E is incorrect because DSTs do not set security policies. That work is done by network administrators in tier 2 or 3."



It should read:



"C and E correctly identify items which are not duties of a tier 1 DST. C is correct because desktop support technicians troubleshoot only problems that directly affect end users. They are not responsible for the company’s network. E is correct because DSTs do not set security policies. That work is done by network administrators in tier 2 or 3."

"180 Day Trial" should be "30 Day Trial" There is an error on the orange sticker on the CD jacket. Change: "Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 -180 Day Trial" To: "Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 -30 Day Trial"

Answer should be D On page 10-37, under the Lesson 2 Review heading the last paragraph reads: "Answer C is correct. Enabling Windows Firewall on the host computer is all the administrator needs to do on a network that is already configured and running properly. Answers A and B are incorrect because routers, DSL, and cable modems are not requirements of Windows Firewall.. Answer D is incorrect because Windows Firewall should not be installed on computers that are not directly connected to the Internet." It should read: "Answer D is correct. All computers should have Windows Firewall enabled, even if there is another firewall protecting them from Internet attacks. The reason for this is that many attacks originate from the internal network For example, if one of the user's four computers is a notebook, it might become infected with a work while connected to an unprotected wireless network at a coffee shop. The next time the infected computer connects to the internal network, the worm could spread to the other computers if they do not have a firewall running. A and B are incorrect because routers, DSL, and cable modems are not requirements of Windows Firewall."

Corrections to answer C On page 15-10, answer C reads: "C. Correct: Use the File Locations tab to set the default Documents location as well as other file locations." It should read: "C. Correct: Use the File Locations tab in Word to set the default Documents location as well as other file locations and use the General tab in Excel to set the default file location."
