In the video someone asked about what version of java it is (1.4, 1.5, 1.6, etc.).

You said 1.6. Technically, the answer is "none".

It is source code according JLS 3 compiled to Dalvik executables and the Android Framework includes many APIs that are compatible with the Java 5 SDK.
