In the Preface, in the description of Chapter 11, Position Independent Module should be Protocol Independent Multicast .

This error was in the first edition as well, and likely appears in all formats. Page numbers were not available in the Safari version of this book, so the above page number is a place-holder.

These are the last few lines of the section "Static IGMP membership". It lists all the multicast IPs with the first octet as 225 while it should have been 224. For example, 225.0.0.5 and 225.0.0.6 should have been 224.0.0.5 and 224.0.0.6.

The last sentence reads:

R4 behaves as any other designated router by stripping the register encapsulation and sending the native multicast down its shared tree, thus allowing R2 to obtain a copy.

I believe this should read as follows.

R4 behaves as any other designated router by stripping the register encapsulation and sending the native multicast down its shared tree, thus allowing R5 to obtain a copy.
