So, I guess, with this much hindsight, it would be fair to say that this particular startup has failed.

Would have been nice to have a post-mortem like the good failed startups do these days.

This is actually a minor content mistake, but that was not an option in the drop down.

"the most recent has been the addition of an ad-supported Kindle that costs $114"

The cheapest e-reader that I know of is the ad-supported $69 Kindle.

This entire section should probably be updated in the next draft to reflect that Amazon and other e-reader makers are successfully advancing their devices to high-fidelity, high-convenience levels, even as gross annual revenues for this product category are dropping.
