Figure 1-13

Figure 1-13 is entirely illegible on my Kindle Paper White. The diagram is so small that I simply can't make out anything in it.

This issue occurs with many of the other figures in this chapter. Figure 1-14 is also difficult to read.

So far as I have read the book, most of the figures have been very difficult to read on this device.

I think the primary issue is that the print is very faint on these figures. The font is also very small. Changing the device font size does not change the figures since I assume they are images.

I am not aware of any way to make them readable on the device. I don't recall anything in the Introduction that explained how to deal with this problem.

For now, I am using the PDF version to look at all the figures on my computer.

In the PDF version I can see the full table, but not on my Kindle paper white.

I am trying to generate a new accumulo project but the link for the archetype is cut off at the end. I cannot continue using the book unless this is fixed.

The note says "The logger process mentioned Accumulo verion 1.4 and earlier."

It seems like this sentence is missing a word such as "in". It reads strangely.

I think the correct sentence is likely "The logger process mentioned in Accumulo verion 1.4 and earlier."

The word "sisibilities" occurs in the sentence "Accumulo’s column sisibilities are often more fine-grained".

I don't think "sisibilities" is I word. I think this should be "visibilities".

insert examples at the bottom of page 61 and top of page 62

In the insert row examples on pages 61 & 62 enter a non-html ampersand (& NOT &) when using multiple column visibilities. Otherwise the insert will fail when using their example code.

Description of the acceptRow method states that it "returns a Boolean." acceptRow returns the primitive boolean type, not a Boolean object.
Text should read, "returns a boolean."
