the table in point 4

In the table where you create the views, for the views Active projects and Archived Projects the filter refers to 'Project Phase'. I believe this should be 'Project status' as per page 23, or I've misunderstood what we are trying to do

Step 6

While creating the conditional formatting for the project status indicator, I inserted a column using the table controls on the ribbon. The resulting conditional formatting did not work at all. I found an article by SharePoint Adam that said the new column had to be of type Multiple lines of text / Enhanced rich text which the table tools did not do by default. That allowed the conditional formatting to work correctly. Check it out when you have a minute, otherwise a totally outstanding book.

It says to select the following field for Training Courses:

Title
Start
Max_Number_of_Students (Max Number
of Students)
User

User is not listed though as an option. This means you can't carry on with the exercise as user is used later on. Please advise.

Under "Create the Columns" heading page 132; first screen capture on page 133.

On page 132 it gives instructions on how to create 2 custom columns, Question and Response, and to set them both to Required: Yes. In the screen capture on page 133, it shows the columns Question and Response as not required. Which one is it?? Required or Not?

Question and Response Required values

The table values for required on Question and Response on page 132 indicate the fields should be required but the screenshot on page 133 have both columns not marked as Required.

Also if you require the response on the list then the user can not submit the question.

Diagram of Wrokflow Task

The image shows a picture of the Workflow task "Claim Task" the only way I can get to this is if I go into the workflow itself. It's not on any of the task options via email etc.

The email link opens up a task item box

second screenshot

In the screenshot of the email message that is being created in SharePoint Designer, the fields "RFP Name" and "URL Path" are referenced.

"RFP Name" was not one of the columns created earlier in the chapter when we were directed to create site columns. Were we supposed to rename the "Title" column?

"URL Path" is not one of the options listed when "Current Item" is selected.

The View Format field states "Start from All Events." That is not an option presented to the user.

Chapter 2. Building a Training registration Management System
In the "Add the Data Connections" portion

Data Connection registration is fine
Data Connection Training Courses there is an Error
Select Fields Title
Start
Max_Number of Students)
User
1. there is no open Parenthesis for the Max_number of Student)
2. there is no "User" field contained in the List "Training courses

So I'm not sure how to get the "User" field populated in the Data Connection?
Thank you for clarifying this. I need this info for the solution I would like to implement

Where it says set fields value StudentCurrentlyRegistered =[User = User])
see also page 1953
Set a field?s value StudentCurrentlyRegistered = Count( Registration (Secondary) ID, where Registration (UserName) = Main( UserName)) Counts the number of registrations where the UserName in the Registration

When you select User from the Main it gives you an error.
Since this is Crucial in selecting which courses the user has already taken it is a SHOW STOPPER!
