When I try and create a subsite using the Chapter2 Team Site solution I get the following error:
Problem applying web template
This web template requires that certain features be installed, activated, and licensed. The following problems are blocking application of the template:

SearchDrivenContent Feature
Problem
Not licensed
This template can't be used for this site collection until the issues above are resolved.

I am using an Office 365 site where I am the admin. The parent site is a team site.

I have a similar problem as Mark Nicholson, except on a locally hosted installation of SP 2013 Standard. I receive this error when creating a subsite using any of the three of the Chapter 2 templates:

Problem - Not installed

Feature Description - ExcelServerWebPart Feature
Problem - Not installed

Feature Description - IPFSSiteFeatures Feature
Problem - Not installed

Same error as Mark Nicholson, Linda Healey. I attempted to install and activate the features, but they are not available to enable. I am using Office 365. I am an admin.

When trying to use the .wsp practice files for chapter 2, I get the following error:

Sorry, something went wrong
The site template requires that the Feature {068bc832-4951-11dc-8314-0800200c9a66} be installed in the farm or site collection.

I see a number of other users have been getting the same error since August 2013. How many error reports do you need before confirming the error and doing something about it?

Download of practice files ? The 9780735667037_files.zip file is not complete or exactly as described in the book (pages xiv ? xv).
Chapter 2 ? WideWorldTravelGuidelines.docx is missing.
Chapter 3 ? WideWorldInvoice.docx is missing.
Chapter 9 ? ?Chapter9.wsp? instead of ?Chapter9 Starter.wsp? has been provided.
Chapter 12 ? ?ExpImpoWideWorldImporters.accdb? instead of ?ExpImpWideWorldImporters.accdb? has been provided.
Chapter 14 ? ?SBS_Chapter14_Starter.wsp? instead of ?Chapter13 Starter.wsp? has been provided.

I'm only to the preface, so I do not know how minor the issues of missing files may be when I get to those chapters.

Should be "...and me in your family."

Facilities subsite top link bar is not the same as the parent site. I believe the instructions on using WSP templates are not correct for this chapter. Would have liked specific step by step directions for using the templates in the chapter.

I cannot open the SalesData.xlsx file from the PowerPivot Gallery once it has been uploaded. (Everything else appears to work correctly.) I get the error:

No Items to Show
We can't open this workbook. It's set to show only certain named items, but they aren't in the workbook.
You might want to contact the author for more information.

I did some googling and tried to "Open & Repair" it in Excel 2013, and then upload that to the SP PowerPivot Gallery, but I get the same error. Frustrating!

The "Site Content Type - Change Content Type Column" page the Setting menu doesn't list "Design Manager"
