5th paragraph

The book says of DBIx::Password, "It can also hide passwords
from prying eyes." What this is supposed to mean is not made clear,
and as installed, it is terribly insecure: the passwords and
usernames entered for the virtual users are in plain text in the file
"Password.pm" in the directory
/usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.2/DBIx on my FreeBSD system using
Perl 5.8.2. The path and the file are readable-all, thus any user
on the system can look up the slash database name, user name and
password, not at all secure.

The remedy I will try is to change the file from owner root, group
wheel, permissions 444 to owner root, group www, permissions 440,
to allow apache (running as user www group www) to read the file,
but not the general public. This is still not totally safe, but much
better than nothing. I would refer this issue to the author of the
module; he may not have intended for this to occur, so he'd need to
insure the deployment of his module doesn't present this problem.

footnote

The footnote explains the limit of eight options in a poll: "This is a limitation of
the interface, not of the database. If you need more answers, feel free to modify the
appropriate template to add more options."

That is incorrect; the subroutine "savePollQuestion" in the MySQL.pm module (not a
template) must be changed, along with two templates. (This is true well before Fry
was released.)

4th Paragraph

Says they are going to "add the dates of the previous and next Stories..." in the
actual code the acutally add the Section Name as referred to in the paragraph at the
bottom of the page. Granted, you can figure it out later but it makes for a confusing
read through.
