1st sentence

In the first sentence of the preface of your book, the phrase "looking and seeing pictures" does not make sense. Did you, perhaps, mean to say "looking for and seeing pictures"?

throughout the TOC - at least

I just downloaded the PDF and noticed that all the links from the table of contents are pointing to page 3 of the document (same with thumbnails), making document navigation impossible.
This happens in Preview as well as in Acrobat Reader, so I'll assume it is set incorrectly in the PDF.

External links seem to work fine as far as I can tell.

As an addendum:
It would be nice to have internal references linked, too, e.g., "Please see Chapter 4 " on page 53 (second to last paragraph). This could also apply to the chapter intro pages ...

generally in this section

The book is referring to part of the preferences pages that exist tend to go from CS2 pages to CS3 pages.
Specifically the "Enable Large Document Format (.psb) is in CS2 but not CS3. This caused a bit of
confusion until I brought up the preferences on another computer that is only running CS2 and then I
realized the proble.

figures 4-15 to 4-18

The titles of the figures 4-15 to 4-18 are wrong.

4-15 should be 'Sharpen Details'.
4-16 should be 'Working in Advanced Mode'.
4-17 should be 'Save Settings feature'.
4-18 should be 'Remove JPEG artifacts' and is the wrong picture.

Instead of 'click the A channel' should be 'click the Lightness channel' as shown in figure 4-22.

Also, all refereces to 'A' and 'B' channels should, for consistency with Photoshop, refer to 'a' and 'b'
channels.

Paragraph 4

Section 4 provides "click the A channel". Compare with Figure 4.22, where the instruction is to add sharpening to the Lightness channel.

Item 4

In the book, The Creative Digital Darkroom, page, number 100, item 4, the author wrote “To offset the softening that blurring may have caused, click the A channel and use Filter Sharpen Unsharp Mask to tighten up the luminance information. In this example, we used a low Strength setting with a high Radius setting to gently sharpen and improve the overall contrast (Figure 4-22). The Threshold setting of 5 is useful to avoid sharpening very small tonal differences that may look like noise in the final result”.

I think there is an error on that description! It should be " ...click the Lighteness channel..." and “ ...we used a low Threshold setting...”. Because that is what is shown in Figure 4-22, and also because this is what makes sense.

I send may questions to Mrs Eismann, I waiting her answer!

There is no figure to go with number 3. Figure 4-35 should go with number 5 (instead of 4-36 which does
not relate to this section).

Vibrance vs. Saturation

The statement that using the saturation controls in the Hue/Saturation (in Photoshop) dialog box affects
all colors is, I don't believe, correct. This only applies to the Saturation controls in Lightroom and
ACR.

1st para

The sentence 'Selective Color can be useful for subtle tweaks to images where there are distinct
differences between colors, but where you need to increase or decrease a specific color that may be
shared by more than one color.' doesn't make any sense. Possibly should be '.. but NOT where you need to
increase ...'?
