In the Kindle version figure 3-1 is the same as figure 3-2. Both seem to be face centered cubic. Figure 3-1 should be body centered cubic.
Seems the Kindle version is May 2009 First Edition.

Second paragraph

In paragraph 2 on page 101 it says "therefore F must equal W/T". This is not correct.

It's _not_ F that's equal to W/T: it's the slope of the curve that's equal to W/T (i.e. Dx/T), which is what you say (correctly) further on.

To work out the magnitude of F from the given diagram, you'd need to use a triangle of forces (as on page 408) which gives
(F squared) = (W squared) plus (T squared)
which is not reducible to "F = W/T".

Map on top right of page

The star is in the wrong location on the map. It should be further north.
