step 8.

After trying to execute step 8 page 70, the following errors are viewed.

FIRST ERROR POSTED
"Cannot find the specified schema file '06_OrderDetails.xsd'. Remove or update the file reference, and try again to import."

SECOND ERROR POSTED
"The file 'C:\...\OrderDetails.xml' does not exist."

The "Populating" directory consists of the following files after running StartCD.exe from the books CD;

Customers.xlsx
Employees.txt
ImportAccess.accdb
ImportDbase.accdb
ImportExcel.accdb
ImportHTML.accdb
ImportText.accdb
ImportXML.accdb
ImportXML.laccdb
NewCust.html
OrderDetails.xml
OrderDetails.xsd
Orders.xml
Products.accdb
Ship.dbf

I fixed the issue by renaming the "Order*.*" files as depicted in the book (page 69).

INCORRECT CORRECTION
OrderDetails.xml 06_OrderDetails.xml
OrderDetails.xsd 06_OrderDetails.xsd
Orders.xml 06_Orders.xml

Step 8

Confirmed previously logged error. Cannot import OrderDetails.xml as it refers to its schema being in 06_orderdetails.xsd (when opened with IE). Renaming OrderDetails.xsd to 06_OrderDetails.xsd resolves this issue. I did not need to rename the .XML files.

Item 8.

When I tried to import the OrderDetails.xml file I got an error. The first was "cannot find the specified schema file '06_OrderDetails.xsd' Remove or update the file reference and try again to import" I clicked OK then the next popup was "OrderDetails does not exist".
The files are on my computer where they should be. Also I opened the .xml file and saw the data. Both the .xml and .xsd were in the folder.
Why won't it import the files?

I was running Windows 7 and Office 2007 SP3 and no other versions.
Windows and Office fully up to date with patches.

I got an error message on Step 2 "Import from Outlook"
"Object or class does not support the set of events"

After searching for ages, found a fix to correct this error
Ran "Fix it for Me" from following site.

But when tried, the cell shows underlines, starts in the middle of the underlines, and then gives an error message that says the input does is not correct.

Step 18.

'Report or Switchboard' for 'Preview/Print Products' should not be 'Open Report'. It probably should be 'Alphabetical List of Products'.
