The example does not work and throws up the following error message:

Runtime error '1004':

Unable to set the Visible property of the PivotItem class.

This also happens in the 'Finished' file on the CD, so it's not a typo on my behalf.

I agree with David Lloyd. This step returns "Run-time error '1004': Unable to set the Visible property of the PivotItem class" for the less-than and greater-than dates.

The VBA statement yields an error when run. This is also true in the finished version of the Chapter06 worksheet. The error is Runtime error 438
