In working with the consolidate data, linked version, I noted that the totals did not match those of the consolidate by category unlinked. There was an error in several of the detail sheets where there was a SUM instead of a calculation of units times cost. When I fixed those formulas, the numbers still did not match. Finally I realized that the consolidated with links worksheets summed the columns so there was a double entry of the "hidden" details and the SUM by salesperson. Is this a quirk of consolidating and grouping or is there another error that is occuring to cause the formula problem? |
