How does Internet In A Box provide Internet access?
The automatic Internet connection is made via SprintLink(tm), using leading technology. This gives you an instant, hassle-free, high-quality Internet connection. Internet In A Box is also compatible with hundreds of other Internet service providers who supply dedicated service or PPP access. You can use discounts in the package to save up to $50 with participating providers.
What do I get with GNN?
GNN provides an organized, easy-access approach to the vast resources of the Internet. Its graphical interface, informed reviews of services and tools, and automatic links to more than 600 Internet services make it possible to navigate effortlessly through the Internet without prior training. GNN features metacenters--special-interest magazines that gather together the best Internet resources on topics such as travel, music, education, and computers. Each metacenter contains articles, columns, reference guides, and discussion groups. GNN News(tm) keeps you fully up to date on what's new and newsworthy on the Internet. The Online Whole Internet Catalog(tm) highlights information available by category -- from aeronautics and climatology to gardening, literature, religion, and sports. From the catalog, you can easily point and click to link to a myriad of Internet resources. GNN Business Pages(tm), a global commercial center, provides in-depth, reliable information on products and services.
What does AIR Mosaic do for me?
AIR Mosaic integrates online graphics, color, and typeset-quality text. Mosaic allows the use of hyperlinks, which interconnect related documents and information servers, making Internet use interactive and fun. Mosaic is available online (if you have the right equipment and Internet connection), but with AIR Mosaic you get a licensed consumer product with technical support and many feature enhancements. AIR Mosaic is based on NCSA Mosaic, which was developed by the National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
What are the benefits of Internet In A Box Software?
The AIR Series provides an easy-to-use Microsoft Windows interface that frees you from having to remember and type in complex Internet commands. With AIR Mail(tm) you can communicate directly with anyone who has an Internet email address, including CompuServ and America Online users. With Air News(tm) you can access any of 6,000 news groups, where Internet users with similar interests exchange ideas and information. With Network File Manager(tm) (file transfer), you can drag and drop to copy text, graphics, and software between the Internet and your computer. With AIR Telnet(tm) and AIR Gopher (tm), you can log into other computers on the Internet and access public databases and library card catalogs. The AIR Series makes these once-complicated Internet applications as easy as point and click.
Do I have to use SprintLink to use Internet In A Box?
