Good overview of integrating Linux with Windows,  December 01 2007

This book is a great overview of getting Linux and Windows systems to talk to each other. While you may need to check other resources to set up Samba or LDAP for example, this book will help you know where to look next. Do not expect this book to walk you by the hand the entire way to a fully integrated system, but rather be a guide showing you how to get it done yourself. I have been very please with this book, and it has served as a good starting place for different projects.

This book manages to take all the various aspects of getting Linux to integrate in a Windows environment and applies them to practical situations. While this book gives a good overview of each topic you may still want to use specific materials if you want to use more advanced features (ie. while this book will not make you a Samba expert, it will give you a jump start). I was very pleased with this book and still use it as a reference.
