Here's a key to the markup:

        {page-number}: minor technical mistake
        <page-number>: important language/formatting problem
        (page-number): language change or minor formatting problem
        ?page-number?: reader question or request for clarification


(1) In the last paragraph, the first sentence used to read:

	"... needed for task such as ..."

Now reads:

	"... needed for tasks such as ..."


(10) Figure 2-1: the diagram now has the solid lines to represent when
the processes are runnable. There is now a solid line where each of the
numbers are.
