Jeff Siarto is a web and user experience designer and co-author of Head First Web Design. He currently calls Chicago home and works as a consultant for Michigan State University—designing and maintaining internal web applications. He was a student of the standards-based web design movement and a current supporter of open courseware, sustainable learning and open source software.

Ethan Watrall is an Assistant Professor at Matrix: The Center for Humane Arts, Letters & Social Sciences Online, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Telecommunication, Information Studies, and Media, and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of History at Michigan State University.
