David Javelosa

Bio

David Javelosa is Professor of Interactive Media at Santa Monica College. He has been into gaming since killing time in clubs at sound check for his new wave band in the ’80s.

Working as a musician and audio director for Sega in the early 1990s, he also freelanced for Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Marvel, Disney Games, and Inscape, among others.

He has taught courses about games and game music at San Francisco State and UCLA. Before his current teaching position, he was Game Industry Specialist for the Yamaha Corporation.

In his spare time he still plays lounge gigs, travels, and is an avid skydiver.
