Luk Arbuckle has been working as a data scientist for over a decade. He originally plied his trade in the area of image processing and analysis, and then in the area of applied statistics (use R!). He has been heavily involved in conducting risk analyses on the re-identification of patients in health data. He works with Khaled El Emam at Electronic Health Information Lab (EHIL) at the CHEO Research Institute. He has lead a team that assesses re-identification risk in patient data sets, and conducts research in the field re-identification risk measurement and de-identification methods.
