Anton de Young is the Director of Customer Education and Community at Zendesk, where he manages the team that creates all of the user-guide documentation and all of the training available to Zendesk customers. His team also manages the community of users who contribute so much to the Zendesk support portal (http:// www.support.zendesk.com). When Anton joined Zendesk in 2011, he was the only writer, and after creating the first version of the Zendesk user guide himself, he began building a team of writers, instructional designers, and trainers to provide the best possible learning resources for Zendesk’s customers. Anton started in technology with Microsoft as a visual designer and quickly moved into product development and technical communication. After Microsoft, he worked in various writing, product, user experience, and leadership roles at a software startup, a global e-learning company, Peoplesoft, Oracle, and Adobe. Anton currently lives in the Oakland Hills, Califonia, with his wife, Laura, and his dog, Siena. Anton is also an accomplished photographer specializing in portraits. He also enjoys traveling and music.
