Jason Myers

Bio

A natural-born problem solver, Jason Myers relishes opportunities that allow him to use his technical expertise to improve the human condition in any way possible. He has made a successful career in an industry he loves as a speaker, developer, technical writer, and developer community organizer. Jason currently lends his talents as a Staff Engineer working on Stratasan (a data analytics platform) at Syntellis and recently published the technical manual Essential SQLAlchemy 2nd, Ed. As a developer, Jason has worked on a docker based distribution of OpenStack and telemetry for Cisco Systems, email delivery and feedback loops for Emma, Healthcare data analysis at Stratasan, and international shipping for BorderJump. Before his decision to focus on Software Engineering, Jason spent 15 years as a systems architect building data centers and cloud architectures for several of the largest tech companies, hospitals, and telecom providers. Today, he finds open source platform work more fulfilling because of its collaborative nature and power to move people forward. And while he is passionate about all things technology, Jason admits he has a soft spot for gourmet cookies and his three beloved Lhasa Apso dogs.
