Bio

Jim Lehmer has spent a career of over four decades doing two things - systems integration and data integration. This book is the result of some of the experience he’s picked up over the years trying to work with heterogeneous data sets and get some meaningful results out of their intersection. His extensive experience with SQL started in the late 1980s with DB2 v1.2 on MVS, moving then to Sybase and Microsoft SQL Server in the early and mid-1990s. Jim worked on database connectivity and middleware products for various software vendors before moving over to industry as a software architect and consultant. He is also the author of the O'Reilly report, "Ten Steps to Linux Survival."
