Bio

I first "came around the river" on dynamic languages in 1992 -- writing SchemaE, a graphical database schema editor that was written in Objective-C and ran on NeXT machines. Yup, back in the days of shrink-wrapped software, imagine. Once I got my mind around the power, ease, and good practices of developing with dynamic languages, I knew that would be a feature of all successful programming languages. I'm glad to see Objective-C continue to showcase its power in Mac OS X's Cocoa frameworks. In addition to Objective-C, I enjoy building dynamic database-backed system on a variety of platforms and in a variety of languages. While I've still got a soft spot for Objective-C, Java has become my "main squeeze" (uh, language).
