Your site will inevitably go down. Worse yet, thanks to Twitter and blogs there's a good chance that all of your customers will find out about your downtime. This presentation aims to help you turn that downtime from a disaster into an opportunity to strengthen your customer relationships. All it takes is a little preparation up front, communication during the event, and some explanation after the event.
Based on a review of numerous downtime events over the past few years, this talk will present a simple framework that you can use inside your company to handle downtime effectively, and give you advice on how to get it adopted within the organization.
