Description:

This webcast talk is designed to provide information for beginning managers and individual contributors who are looking at getting into management. Through the course of this talk, designed to be 30-35 minutes, I'll cover significant points regarding:

  1. How to view UX in relation to the acquisition of new management & business-related responsibilities
  2. Guidelines on how to interact with your team
  3. Guidelines on how to interact with the rest of the organization
  4. Guidelines on how to treat yourself as you take on the new role

The talk is organized around taking the focus of a young design manager away from design and geared towards learning more about the people around them and how their team and the manager can better support the business.
