The author is clearly knowledgeable and experienced and the book is well written. If you are new to metrics, this book is a good primer that goes deep into some of the practices and tools to use to capture and interpret those metrics. So, if you are looking for a good and deep book on time series analysis that can help you to read and understand all those metrics you are capturing, this is the book. There are extensive case studies of different scenarios that will show you how to interpret those time series and find the problem in that stubborn web server that (should) be working well.
