Missing space in command path On page xii, the first sentence of step 5 reads: "Click the Start button, click Run, and then type C:Documents and Settings\My DocumentsMicrosoftPressas2005sbsSetupRestoreRestore_databases.cmd in the Open box." It should read: "Click the Start button, click Run, and then type C:Documents and Settings\My DocumentsMicrosoft Pressas2005sbsSetupRestoreRestore_databases.cmd in the Open box."

DimProductCategory should be DimProductSubcategory
On page 72, Step 9 contains an incorrect attribute name.



Change:

"Select the check box to the left of Dim Product Subcategory, and then, in the same row, click dbo.DimProductCategory.EnglishProductSubcategoryName in the Attribute Name Column drop-down list."



To:

The first sentence under "Localizing Cubes" needs to be removed On page 231, the first sentence under the heading "Localizing Cubes" needs to be removed and the word "also" needs to be removed from the second sentence. Change: "In the previous procedures, you implemented currency conversion to accommodate multiple currency valuations for Adventure Works, a global company. You can also apply translations to a cube to display the labels on rows and columns in different languages. You can even implement translations to reflect members of a dimension by language. Nine partitions listed rather than eight
On page 297, the third sentence of the second paragraph of step 2 reads:



"In the SSAS cube, you can see there are nine partitions— Reseller Sales, Internet Sales, Product Forecast, Inventory, Distinct Count, Finance, Fact Account Manager, Currency Exchange Rates, and Units Forecast."



It should read:



"In the SSAS cube, you can see there are eight partitions— Reseller Sales, Internet Sales, Product Forecast, Inventory, Distinct Count, Finance, Fact Account Manager, and Units Forecast."

Column and row axes switched in step 6 On page 308, step 6 reads: "In the Cube Designer for the ROLAP cube, click the Browser tab, drag the Measures object to the Totals area of the grid, expand Sales Territory and drag Sales Territory Country to the columns axis, and then expand Order Date and drag Order Date.Year to the rows axis." It should read: "In the Cube Designer for the ROLAP cube, click the Browser tab, drag the Measures object to the Totals area of the grid, expand Sales Territory and drag Sales Territory Country to the rows axis, and then expand Order Date and drag Order Date.Year to the columns axis."

Additional information needed
On page 327, the 2nd sentence under point 5 is missing the word "record".



Change:

"This SQL script adds one more to the FactResellerSales table to record a sale in Mexico."



To:

"This SQL script adds one more record to the FactResellerSales table to record a sale in Mexico."

"Sales Territory" should be "Sales Territory Country" On page 327, the 1st sentence in Step 7 contains an inaccuracy. Change: "In SQL Server Management Studio, browse the MOLAP cube in the Working with Storage database by placing Sales Territory on rows and Measures in the totals area." To: "In SQL Server Management Studio, browse the MOLAP cube in the Working with Storage database by placing Sales Territory Country on rows and Measures in the totals area."

Last line in XMLA script is not code
On page 355, the last line in the XMLA script is an instruction to the reader and not a line of code.



The following line needs to be removed from the grey code box and placed below it:

"Click the Execute button in the query window."

"SSAS Step by Step" should be "Managing Deployment" On page 366, the sentence directly above step 1 references an incorrect database. Change: "In this procedure, you’ll restore the backup of the SSAS Step by Step database." To: "In this procedure, you’ll restore the backup of the Managing Deployment database."

On page 367, the last sentence in Step 5 contains a reference to an incorrect database.



Change:
