My preferred way of using this book is to have it open next to the keyboard of my PC so that I can enter/check examples on the PC. The book is so thick that keeping the page open at the right place is difficult. It would be useful if the book was also published in loose leaf form, e.g. spiral bound or in a 2 or 4 ring binder. |

The value "$7.99" should read only $7.99. |

Printed | Page 31 2nd paragraph |
The price data for the doll is shown as $7.99. That will work fine (I.e. the price field will be correctly set to 'currency') if the reader's PC is set up with dollars as the default currency but if (for example) the currency is GBP, the field will default to 'text'. It may be worth adding a note saying that the currency sign used (i.e. $, ?, etc) should correspond to the default currency on the reader's PC. |

I noted the last part of the Tip on page 124 (i.e. someone might want to add Employee records even though they don?t yet have their SSN). You then state at the top of page 125 that if I?ve indexed SSN, Access won?t let me insert a record with a duplicate SSN. Having just been given the idea on the previous page of creating records with missing (null?) SSNs, what was missing for me on page 125 was a clarification whether or not two records both with a missing SSN constitute a ?duplicate? (null = null) in this context. Would they be allowed or not? |

Further to my previous request, I have now found the clarification I wanted. It's 2 pages later on page 127 (which is near enough). It was unfortunate that I just happened to break off from reading the book on page 125 !! |

Page 722 The link mentioned in the FAQ box (http://tinyurl.com/2g8db77) for downloading SharePoint Foundataion 2010 is invalid. |
The tinyurl link in the SharePoint Foundation 2010 bullet point of the FAQ goes to an invalid link page @ Microsoft. It needs to point to http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=24983. This link address is to the SP2 version of SharePoint Foundation 2010 so it is also the most up to date version of that product (and still free of course,) |
