First note

The note states that "the iPhone is still not an 'unlocked' GSM phone". The Apple Store does now sell the iPhone 4s unlocked and, in fact, I recently bought one, inserted my T-Mobile SIM card, and it's now a T-Mobile iPhone, contrary to what the note implied. =)

First Paragraph

The paragraph states that audiobooks rippend from CDs will not appear under Audiobooks in the Music app. In my experience, they do appear there, as long as one remembers to change the media type to Audiobook from Music in iTunes before syncing to the phone.

Screen Capture procedure

I have an iPhone 4S. I wanted to try the Screen Capture procedure as described on page 200. Did so several times and the phone just shut down. What works for me is: (1) Phone displays screen you want to capture; (2) Hold down ON/OFF button; (3) Press HOME button twice quickly. Screen capture will be saved.

The instructions in the book are almost a reverse of the correct method...at least for the iPhone 4S.

Under "Screen Capture"

I have the iPhone 4S. Your screen capture instructions say hold down the home button and press the sleep button. If you hold down the hold button too long, Siri answers. If I hold it and quickly hit the sleep button, it goes to sleep. Did they change the screen capture button combo for the 4S model?

Under Screen Capture

I found the answer! You have the button order backwards in your book. The correct method is hold down the sleep switch first and then quickly push the home button before it gives you the shutdown swipe.

You wrote, use the iPhone's Revert to Original command.

You meant to say, iPhoto's command.

(Apart from this totally unimportant mistake, thank you for this great book from a reader in Berlin, Germany)

Data protection feature is stated that it requires a device with 32GB of memory. This does not seem to be true because I'm able to turn it on with 16GB phones.

Index: Battery/backup batteries and Charging.../backup batteries

In both cases the index gives the page number for that topic as 799. There is no Page 799 in this book.

Thank you. Excellent book.
