Neil Ford and Mark Richards each define "data coupling." The two definitions seem incoherent, leading to confusion.

At 0:01:24, Ford defines "common coupling" as "two modules share the same global data".

At 0:02:50, Ford defines "data coupling" as "modules share data through parameters."

At 0:08:15, Richards defines "data coupling" as, "the degree to which components are bound to a shared data context."

Richards definition of "data coupling" seems to more closely match Ford's definition of "common coupling," rather than Ford's definition of "data coupling."
