I am using a Macbook M1 Air and when I ran the qgis_basemaps.py script (when following along Chapter 2: Essential Facilities for Spatial Analysis) I was expecting the XYZ Tiles folder to populate with the basemaps. However it was only when I saved the project, restarted QGIS and reopened the project that the basemaps populated in the folder.

This might just be unique to my computer however I just thought that I would drop a note as I thought there was something wrong with the script when the XYZ Tiles folder did not populate automatically. I did refresh the folder but this did not work - I had to save and restart the application for it to populate. Might be worth adding a note in the book to try save and restart the application if the folder isn't automatically populating?

Only paragraph on page 37

Where do I download the shapefiles from The Mapping Inequality: Redlining in New Deal America? On the website I can only see options for downloading the data as GeoJSON or Geopackage.

The book text mentions adding shapefiles to QGIS.

Thanks!

The problem is that I can't download the data resource: "SF_neighborhoods". When I sign in in DATASF, the web say me "Forbidden The current user doesn't have access to this resource."

Is it possible load the book data resource in the book's GitHub?
Thanks!
