Regarding the text leading upto and includingt table 1-1

I'm somewhat new to this as a formal discipline and so I am finding that I can be confused by variations in the use of terminology. I am barely into chapter one and find myself a tiny bit confused by the emphasis on information hiding as a structure?

IMHO the items in table 1 should be labeled components or building blocks, dependency, process and access models.?

Later on when it comes time to discuss structures, what appears to be a significant emphasis placed on information hiding as a structure?

I can see how the info hiding could be a desireable principle or property attributed to modularity or building blocks but I don't see how it's worthy of such emphasis all on its own in partupicular as a structure?

?P.s. I like to think of each structure as being or lending itself to visual representations while the principles are more textual in nature. ? FYI i tend to think of your building blocks as say Lego blocks and then the whole hidden nature of the contents of each and the need for a rigorous interface explains why this approach is so crucial and elegant.

Anyways, loving the book so far.

Page number I used us actually kindle "location" sorry I cannot see actual page numbers.
