Companion web site for Illustrator CS5 One on One book not working

I have Adobe Illustrator CS5 One on One by Deke McClelland. In the preface are directions to go to a companion web site for the support files (downloadable lesson files and videos). There is no DVD or CD bundled with the book.
The site listed in the book is http://www.oreilly.com/go/Deke-IllustratorCS5

When I attempt to go there, I find an error message: "We're sorry, the URL, http://www.oreilly.com/go/Deke-IllustratorCS5 is either incorrect or no longer available. Please use our search or the navigation above to find what you're looking for."

Could someone please contact me with information on how I can get these files?

Thank you!

DekeKeys are Missing for Illustrator CS5 One on One

I downloaded the dekeKeys zip file and when I expanded it found "Best Workflow CS5.csf" which was identical to the contents of the other support file listed.

download page

dekeKeys dowload zip file does not contain dekeKeys.kys (keyboard shortcut) file, rather it is another copy of the best workflow.csf (color settings) file.

Color settings dialog box is color settings box from Photoshop CS5 not Illustrator CS5. Minor differences in options/layout.

3rd bulleted paragraph

This is in the instructions on how to move dekeKeys Illustrator cs5.kys to appropriate location:

On page xvii, in the 3rd bulleted paragraph, it says to "copy the color settings to the folder."

Not sure the above is incorrect as I am a total beginner, and this is as far as I've gotten in the book--so maybe I just don't understand the instructions but its giving me brain freeze :)

10. Adjust a few preference settings and 12. Move to the Units Pane

On page xviii, it suggests that you change Keyboard increment to 0.2 px. yet on page xix, it suggests that you change Units for General to Points. If you change to points, then the program will not allow you to enter a pixel value in the Keyboard Increment field as it will default to the point unit set in the Unit Preferences.

Video Lesson 1

There are numerous references to the companion web site that is an essential part of the book, but the given URL (shown in the error message below) is not valid:

We're sorry, the URL, http://www.oreilly.com/go/deke-IllustratorCS5 is either incorrect or no longer available. Please use our search or the navigation above to find what you're looking for.

In addition, the URL sometimes contains "Deke", and sometimes "deke", but neither works.

When will this URL be available!! Very frustrating since the author strongly advises the videos be watched prior to reading the lessons.

Step 5, 2nd paragraph line 3

Book reads "..., select View... Guides... Unlock Guides...."

There is no such command. The command is always "View... Guides... Lock Guides" which users can toggle on and off.

First paragraph of "Creating Custom Workspaces"; line 12

"Essential's workspace places just eleven panels..." is incorrect. There are 12 panels in CS5's Essentials workspace with the addition of the new Artboards panel. (Looks like this was written for an earlier version of Illustrator). Nevertheless, the text is wrong and Figure 1-26 is correct.

Step 4

Apple Macintosh people will need to first enable the application frame in order to do this step 4 as their window is already free floating. Choose Window... Application Frame, then do step 4.

figure 2-78

figure 2-78 does not reflect the correct appearance of the artwork after bringing the "missing circle" forward. The "missing circle" is regrettably still missing in figure 2-78.

Last sentence is missing the word "is".... This behavior is what defines.....

The description of "cusp point" completely misses the type of cusp point that has only one direction handle (straight segment on one side and bezier curve segment on the other side).

The discussion of a cusp point with two handles seems to miss the most critical point: the two handles are not locked at 180 degrees and do not move in unison (they move independent of each other). This seems to be implied but the language used is not clear.

3rd paragraph

The book says to set "Kerning to 5/1000 em." The Illustration however shows the tracking set to 5/1000 em.

I would like to add that I point out these minor errors in the book only because they take away from the magnificence of the work that this book is and wish to see future editions without these glitches. The book itself is outstanding and beyond doubt, the best in its field.

Top 2 lines and Figure 9-19

The book reads "Set the Method option to Tints and Shades to produce the richer efect pictured in Figure 9-19....."

Figure 9-19 does not display the richer effect (it shows the original washed out appearance) and it also incorrectly shows the "Tints" Method instead of the "Tints and Shades" referred to.
