40. Minimize Household and Family Stress

While telecommuting eliminates some of the stress associated with commuting to and working in a traditional workplace, it is certainly not a stress-free mode of working. Some of the advantages of increased proximity to your family and your office are offset by disadvantages that can be stressful to you and members of your household. Certainly you'll be more attuned to the problems and issues of your home and family, which can be an added source of stress you take with you to your office. At the same time, your family may be much more aware of and feel the tension and stress associated with some of your on-the-job issues and challenges:
