Gobain BCF-12 scintillating ber in an 8 × 8 square array. e bers were
paced 2.3mm apart with an air gap between bers. e ber dimension was
0.5 × 0.5 × 100mm. One end of each ber was coupled to an anode of a mul-
tianode photomultiplier tube (Hamamatsu RS900-00-M64) using optical
grease. eber assembly was housed in a thin cylindrical aluminum shell
that kept the assembly light tight. e bers were coated with a thin black
coating, and a black Mylar sheath was placed in between the aluminum shell
