reported by Bonnel and Levy (1961) is ~20% larger than the value reported by
Cerineo etal. (1964). Veljukov and Prokofjev (1962) do not explicitly give the
cross section, but an estimate made comparing their breakup protons with the
elastically scattered protons from the known hydrogen contamination in their
target yields a value of ~20mb/sr in the peak, in fair agreement with the value
of Cerineo etal. (1964).
By varying both a
nn
and the normalization factor, Cerineo et al. (1964)
reported the best t to the experimental data for a
nn
= −21.7 ± 1 F. e error
