Are You a Conformist?
Have you ever asked yourself why you do things the way you do? Let me suggest there are two reasons. First, it’s the way you were taught, because that’s the way everybody else has done it, and, second, you’ve always done it that way so why would you change. Perhaps we need to adopt a new philosophy: “If it ain’t broke, break it.”
One conference speaker said people who are afraid to challenge their own beliefs are timid feeders in the lagoon. Dr. Robert Shuler, legendary motivational expert, asked the question, “What would you attempt to do if you absolutely, positively knew you could not fail?” If there’s no chance for it to go wrong, which of your ideas would you try to implement?
