4 CLAY PLAY

Working with clay is an exciting, physical kind of art-making process. Little children know right away what they want to do with it. There are lots of different kinds of clay, and choosing which to use can be daunting. We work with low-fire clay in both white and red with excellent results and so this is what is used in this book. The colorful underglazes we suggest give children (and adults!) much freedom of expression and predictable results in their work.
