Time for action—replacing textures

So far, the application is showing just one spaceship. Your project manager wants to test the possibility of allowing a two-player mode. He wants you to add a new spaceship using the same texture to envelope the new model, but with a different color.

  1. Stay in the 3DInvadersSilverlight project.
  2. Go to the folder in which you have saved the original PNG to use as a texture for the spaceship (C:\Silverlight3D\Invaders3D\3DModels\SPACESHIP01\Textures). Make a copy of the original texture image file ( Ship_06.PNG) and name it Ship_07.PNG.
  3. Open the previously mentioned image file in a photo editing application like GIMP or Photoshop. Replace its colors manipulating the colors balance, as shown in the following picture: ...
